Be it a bus or van, school children have to take that service when no one can bring him to school particularly if both parents are working. The issue with a first-timer in the school service is the fear of the child to ride alone. That is the main reason why school service vehicles here employ an attendant who would see to it that the children are okay while going to school. And each child is helped with the bag and also brought to the school grounds safely.

So how would the child learn to ride the school service by himself?

Children need assurance that the bus service provided by the school is safe and will eventually bring them back home. Although there is an attendant in the bus, kids are usually scared in the beginning and cry when they have to go to school. The administration of my son's school is very wise in this aspect. When the little kids begin their schooling, our school requires mothers or fathers of all first timers to travel to the school for the first week along with their kids. We travel to the school and then wait in a hall for an hour and a half and return home by the bus. So the kids get used to bus and know that they are going to be returned home after a few hours. so the transition is quite smooth.

That's easy, I used to ride a bus as a kid, and it just feels like a normal thing even if you do it the first time.
